Summary
The Project:
To Collaborate with experts in different fields across the world and apply data research methods in information technology. The goal was to identify trendsetters in different cultures and to examine cultural differences based on data from different language-versions of various Wikipedia articles.
My Role:
I was responsible for gathering data about English political leaders and singers from Wikipedia to create a network graph. I also managed the worldwide collaboration of the team members.
What I Learned:
I used the data collection tools Condor and Gephi to get the first hand research. I learned about the hottest trends of Big Data and how to apply it in the field of design. The collaboration with experts from different fields and countries improved my real world work experience.
